ヤングアダルト（YA）小説の映画化 『ハンガー・ゲーム』以降の戦うヒロイン比較(1) 数字
1回目では、映画の数字を調べてみた。
2回目は、原作の小説について調べてみる。

まとめたのがこれ。


売上に関して、本は今も売られていて、日々数字が変わっていくなので調べようがなかった。
なので、ウェブサイトのまとめを参考にする。

これを見ると売上が一千万冊を越える中にあるのは、『ハンガー・ゲーム』（2008年）だけ。2と3は入っていない。

シリーズごとで見てみると、『ハンガー・ゲーム』シリーズ（2008年～2010年）に加えて、『シャドウハンター』（2007年～）と『ダイバージェント』（2011年～2013年）も入っている。
『シャドウハンター』シリーズは、「骨の街」以外にもあってすごく多い。

これまで登場したものに加え、『ビューティフル・クリーチャーズ』と『フィフス・ウェイブ』が入っていた。映画化されたシリーズでも、最後までそろって入っていないのがおもしろい。

前回の映画の売上と比べてみると、『シャドウハンター』までは人気順がだいたい原作と比例するけど、『ヴァンパイア アカデミー』や『ビューティフル・クリーチャーズ』は、原作関係のまとめで名前が挙がらなかった『ザ・ホスト』よりも売上が低かった。


The Host / ザ・ホスト

原作の人気があったから、映画化になったんだろうけど、結果はそれに必ずしも結びついていないことがわかる。そして、シリーズものでも結果がいまいちだったら、それ以降映画化されなくなってしまう（『シャドウハンター』シリーズは映画とは別にドラマ化もされている）。

『ハンガー・ゲーム』の映画化（2012年公開）の後にこれらが映画化されたことを考えて、2013年公開の『ビューティフル・クリーチャーズ』、『ザ・ホスト』、『シャドウハンター』の3作品を比べてみると、『ビューティフル・クリーチャーズ』が1番新しい。また、『ヴァンパイア アカデミー』は『シャドウハンター』と同じ年の発行だけど、映画が公開されたのは1年後だった。

とりあえず、原作YA小説と映画化された作品の数字的なものについてまとめてみることが終わった。次は、実際の映画の内容と“戦うヒロイン”についてまとめてみたい。
